Official AI trial is available. Current official multimodal and image-generation requests go directly from the device to OpenRouter. You can still use your own OpenAI-compatible Provider. Public credit purchases remain Coming soon.
BYOK
Text and image recognition share one multimodal OpenAI-compatible Provider; image generation uses a separate Provider. API keys stay in device SecureStore and requests go directly to the Provider without passing through YumDay Cloud.
Official AI
When the user starts text, image recognition, or image generation, selected content goes directly from the device to the fixed OpenRouter HTTPS service. Supabase does not receive, relay, or store prompts, request images, or AI outputs.
Provider processing
OpenRouter may route requests through reviewed models. Processing regions, logs, and content retention follow the policies published at the time by OpenRouter and the underlying model provider. Do not submit content you do not want those Providers to process.
Supabase records
The service stores only account-bound official AI entitlements: the account email, per-platform credit limits and ledgers, purchase operations, SharedAiKey hashes and status, key-level reconciliation, and operations audit. Key plaintext stays in device secure storage, and no per-request content or telemetry is stored.
Never sent to an AI provider
- Kitchen data (recipes, fridge, cart, orders, member profiles)
- Images or recipes the user did not select
- Account tokens, SharedAiKey plaintext, device identifiers, or kitchen identifiers
- BYOK API keys, Management Keys, or sensitive headers

Failures and retries
A device starts only one official AI request at a time. Unknown network outcomes, timeouts, and invalid responses are not resent automatically. An explicit rate limit is retried once according to Retry-After; all other retries are user initiated.
Development purchases
The iOS Development Build uses StoreKit Testing for a real native purchase callback; the Android Development Build uses clearly labeled Mock IAP. Neither represents completed App Store or Google Play production sales.
